A Bathroom renovation can be completed over a period of 2 to 4 weeks.

Bathroom renovation step by step

A bathroom renovation project is usually performed in 7 steps:

  • Demolition (~ 2 days): demolition of the various elements of your bathroom including toilets, bathtub, sink, flooring & walls (if applicable) and cleaning of all surfaces.
  • Plumbing and Electricity (~ 2 days): adjustment of the plumbing and electrical systems according to the plans of your new bathroom.
  • Installation of the new bathroom elements (~ 1 day): installation of the new shower, bath, sink, toilet.
  • Walls and ceiling (2 days): preparation of the walls and ceiling (plug holes, smoothen and clean surfaces) and completion of 2 to 3 layers of paint on the walls and ceiling.
  • Floors (1 day): if applicable, floors will be renovated with new tiles.
  • Finishes and cleaning (1 day): completing latest finishes (paints, joints) and cleaning of the entire space.
  • Delivery: final verification of the project with the client and the general contractor.

  • The connection of new fixtures may require to temporarily shut down your water system: plan in advance with your contractor for any interruptions in order to avoid any surprises.
  • It is recommended to provide storage space to the contractor: this will greatly help and save time so that materials can be stored directly on site.
